| Quickstarter for OpenOffice suite (see www.OpenOffice.org) | | Quickstart.exe is simply the program that, amongst other things puts an OOo icon in your system tray. It also loads certain components from the suite. It does increase Windows bootup time, and I don't personally notice any enormous increase in speed on raw first launch times, but it is helpful in allowing you to select individual doc types or go straight to a particular template so some time sabing is made.
If you don't want it to run at startup, simply right click on the icon and deselect "run on Windows startup". |
